From the dreamy set to the collection screaming opulence,Samant Chauhan like always had won many heart in the AIFWAW16.
The irreplaceable love for silk by Samant Chauhan is not hidden from anyone and once again he had proved himself and left no stone unturned in redefining royalty and narrated his interpretation of the ‘India Modern’ theme with a dash of innovation, creativity and experimentation via his avant-garde collection.
Traversing thousands of miles, through uncharted deserts, over steep mountain passes, exposed to supreme weathers, to wild animals, the designer presented his series of designs at the ongoing 27thedition of Amazon India Fashion Week (extract from IBN Live)
No one could have portrayed this story as done by the Delhi based designer, which got him another feather added to his cap for every time coming up with collections better than his last ones.
There was a predominance of oriental influence in the collection as according to the designer, the journey of Rajputana culminates in Mongolia.
The quintessential gowns with lot of oriental influence,Indian motifs and usage of cotton silk were exquisite piece of fine craftsmanship. Also, one could not miss to notice the intelligent and luring use of tulle, flattering silhouettes, asymmetric patterns and vivid and vibrant colors chosen to highlight the collection.
Below are few of my favorites from the Samant Chauhan Autumn/Winter 16 collection :
